Happy Birthday to Oxford International Women’s Festival, 30 years old this year!
The Oxford International Women’s Festival exists to celebrate women’s achievements and solidarity and to highlight local, national and international issues. It is organised by local women to reflect a wide range of backgrounds and experiences – and has played a significant part in the community for over a quarter of a century. We work with women’s groups to support them in tackling inequality and challenges that women face on a daily basis.
I’m delighted to see that OIWF is still going strong after 30 years. The Festival is a positive celebration of women’s strengths, successes and solidarity, whilst also reminding us that there are many hills still left to climb. It’s great to see such a diverse group of women from all walks of life coming together each year to put on a huge variety of events. I wish the Festival every success!
